DaRmaZat Publisher Fictions and developer Counterplay Games (Godfall) have announced that third-person roguelite shooter Armatus will launch on January 7, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. The title will also be available on day one via Xbox Game Pass.
Set in the apocalyptic, demon-infested ruins of Paris, Armatus casts players as the last supernatural warrior of an ancient order tasked with carving a path through demonic hordes to locate the Sunless Gate – a lost gateway to heaven for humanity’s final survivors.
Gameplay in Armatus blends fast-paced third-person gunplay and scythe melee combat with celestial abilities and time-manipulation powers. True to its roguelite structure, each run encourages progression through death and revival, allowing players to refine their arsenal and upgrade capabilities across increasingly hostile demonic environments.
